Centerville senior defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo has been chosen to play in the Under Armour All-American Game. The date and location of the game have not been determined. Earlier this year the game was held on Jan. 5 at Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Under Armour representatives will be at the school on Wednesday, Sept. 28 to present Odenigbo a game jersey.
A speedy 6-4, 220 pounds, he has more than 30 offers from BCS schools, and has narrowed his choices to Ohio State, Northwestern, California, Stanford and Notre Dame.
Along with 2011 grad Michael Bennett, Elks coach Ron Ullery lists Odenigbo as Centerville’s most highly recruited player in program history. Participating players in these all-star games often make their college choices during the game on live national TV. The 2011 game was televised live on ESPN.
