The Centerville High School football team won its first game of the season, defeating visiting Oakridge Secondary School (Ont.) 63-7 on Saturday night.
The Elks led 56-0 at halftime after a 35-point run in the second quarter.
Dan McCoy led Centerville with 88 rushing yards on five carries. He was one of 12 different Elks to record rushing yards in the game. Centerville as a team rushed for 327 yards.
Michael Hale had two touchdown runs while Janson Matthews ran for a touchdown and passed for another.
Centerville’s offense made quick work of Ontario — the Elks time of possession for the game was only 16:08.
