In the first four weeks of the season, the Elks will face three teams who have won a combined 20 state championships.

On Friday, August 26, the Elks open the 2011 season at home by welcoming in Archbishop Elder and their Purple Nation fan base to Centerville Stadium.  Elder has won two state championships.

On Monday, September 5, the Elks travel to Columbus, Ohio to play in the fabled Horseshoe at Ohio State.  They will play a 4PM game against defending Indiana state champion Indianapolis Cathedral.  Last year was Cathedral’s eighth state championship.  Ticket information for this event will be released shortly.

The Elks return home on Saturday, September 10 for a first-ever meeting with a team from Canada in London, Ontario’s Oak Ridge High School.  Oak Ridge had a 6-4 record last year and returns 20 starters.

The following Saturday, September 17, the Elks travel to Parma’s Byers Field where they will tangle with ten-time state champion Cleveland St. Ignatius.

They wrap up their pre-conference schedule on Friday, September 23 with a game at Care Flight Field against the Springboro Panthers.

Then, the always loaded GWOC Central games get underway.  During conference play, the Elks will welcome Fairmont in week six and then travel to Northmont and Wayne in weeks seven and eight.  They will wrap up regular season play with a pair of home games against Springfield and Beavercreek in weeks nine and ten.  The GWOC Central sent Centerville, Wayne, and Springfield to the playoffs last year with Wayne advancing all the way to the state championship game in Canton.

Don’t miss out on what is sure to be another thrilling season of Elks football this fall.  Reserved seats for the entire season will go on sale later this spring in the CHS Athletic Office and general admission tickets will be available each week starting the Monday of game week for all home games.
